Read denier without inventing a strength test
Denier describes yarn linear density; it is not a published whole-fabric tear-strength result. Comparing a 7D nylon to a 10D polyester changes more than one variable. Even two nylon fabrics can use different yarns, weave and coatings. The catalogue does not supply a consistent laboratory durability comparison, so it cannot support claims such as “30D lasts twice as long.”
Within Saga's table, moving from a matching 20D configuration to 30D adds 50 g. Within Solitary's matching inner configuration, 10D adds 20 g over 7D. Those are useful quantified trade-offs. Whether a particular fabric is suitable for your handling, abrasion exposure and route needs additional evidence.
Waterproof rating is another variable
Enran 2 lists a 5000 mm fly and 8000 mm floor, while Enran 2 EU lists 3000 mm and 5000 mm despite its higher denier fabrics. Keep those figures as source-stated values, not a universal performance ranking. Enran 1 is especially unsuitable for a merged rating: its retailer specification image and current brand page disagree.
The Enran description attributes less moisture-related sagging to its polyester option. That is a seller-described material reason to investigate, not proof that the tent avoids condensation or never needs retensioning. Use the moisture guide to keep those separate questions distinct.
Coating determines the sealing question
Double-silicone fabric and silicone/PU fabric should not be given interchangeable maintenance advice. The outer and floor may also have different coatings.
