  Ultralight but extremely durable, weighing in at only 1.46 lbs (666 g) for the 1-person Lanshan 1 Pro tent and 1.91 lbs (870 g) for the 2-person Lanshan 2 Pro tent. The Lanshan Pro drops unnecessary bulk while delivering the same weather protection as the standard Lanshan. You can cut weight while staying within your tent budget. “T“ zipper door
  The Lanshan 1 Pro ultralight tent features doors that can be fully opened, thanks to three high-quality YKK zippers. For a solo tent, this feature is highly popular—it allows you to enter the tent with ease, regardless of the terrain, and choose any door-opening orientation that suits your needs.

Condensation Guard
  In the Lanshan 1 Pro, we have added a highly practical feature. We found that the head and foot areas of a sleeping bag are particularly susceptible to condensation, so we placed solid nylon condensation guards at both ends of the tent. This helps reduce the impact of condensation on your sleeping bag to some extent. If you think this feature is unnecessary, you can cut off these two pieces of fabric, which will reduce the weight by about 20 grams.

  SilNylon or SilPoly？

  The Lanshan 1 Pro Gen2 is available in two fabric options: silnylon and silpoly. The former offers exceptional strength, while the latter has a much lower water absorption rate. In tear resistance, these materials provide 45 N (silnylon) and 18 N (silpoly), respectively—silpoly is sufficient for general camping conditions, while silnylon is better suited for extreme weather.
  Because silpoly’s water absorption rate is only 0.5%—one-tenth that of silnylon—and it does not sag when wet, many people prefer this material. Please choose the fabric that best fits your actual needs.

  Double Side Silicone Fabric

  Unlike most tents where one side of silnylon/silpoly is coated with a PU/PE layer, the silnylon/silpoly (to be released later) used in the Lanshan Pro series is silicone-treated on both sides. As a result, it cannot be laminated with other coatings, nor can factory-applied waterproof tape be used on the seams. This approach maximizes the fabric’s tear resistance, ensuring the tent can withstand even severe storms. This type of fabric is challenging to work with, which is why large factories typically avoid orders involving it, and only niche brands use it. At 3F UL GEAR, our sewing team has years of experience handling this slippery fabric, allowing us to expertly manage the difficulties it presents during the sewing process.   Why go silnylon? 
  Silnylon cannot be factory-taped like PU nylon due to its physical properties, requiring you to seal it outdoors with silicone. So why would we use this fabric, which seems to have obvious flaws, in the more advanced Lanshan Pro?
  The answer is that we need better fabric aging resistance and tear strength. We believe that professional expeditions will face harsh environments such as high winds, high-altitude UV rays, and more, which places higher demands on the fabric’s durability and strength.

  The aging performance data for silicone-PU nylon is based on years of repairing tents in the Chinese market, including PU nylon tents from brands like MSR, Big Agnes, and 3F UL GEAR.
  Since we haven’t had to repair aging silnylon tents, the aging performance of silnylon is based on feedback from our customers and users on backpackinglight.com.

 

  The tear resistance data come from our experiments on one-way tearing of single-ply fabrics with incisions.
  Silnylon won’t tear apart like paper when subjected to forces exceeding its tear strength. Instead, its slippery fibers align and create a strong anti-tear force. Even if the tent is damaged at this point, it won’t collapse and can continue to provide protection for the user.

 

  The waterproofing data are derived from our tests using the WX Air PowerPressure device, conducted at 25 degrees Celsius. The video of this experiment is available on our YouTube channel.
  The waterproof level required to effectively prevent raindrops from penetrating is 1000–2000 mm, which is why we strive to achieve this value with silnylon. The water resistance pressure of PU nylon far exceeds actual usage requirements because our research found that only by increasing the thickness of the PU layer to this level can a PU tent achieve a lifespan of five years.

SETUP INSTRUCTION

  Step 1: Secure the four corner pegs (A, B, C, D) to form a perfect rectangle. (Do not install pegs E and F at this stage.) Align the corner guyline with the tent ridgeline (seam) in a straight line to enhance stability.

  Step 2: Install peg F 1.2 m (47 inches) from the inner tent. Use a 1.2 m–1.25 m trekking pole to raise the tent structure. Attach the vestibule guyline G to peg F.

  Step 3: Setting Up Peg E & Guylines
  Pull point E outward and secure it with a peg.
  Attach guylines to anchor points G1, G2, and G3, then secure them with pegs.

4. Does the price include transportation fees?

When you use the online system to generate a shipping quote for your order, please add the required quantity of items to your shopping cart. (Currently, shipping and import taxes are free for Europe and the United States, except for Norway.
